NEW! Notice and Wonder Lesson Plans

Notice and Wonder lesson plans were designed to broaden students’ engagement in mathematical ideas and encourage students to see the world through a mathematical lens. This new resource can be used to elicit conversations and creative thinking in PK-12 classrooms and allow teachers to attend to students’ thoughts and ideas without judgement.

Notice and Wonder lesson plans ignite curiosity through a series of images that connect students’ own experiences with their mathematical observations. By understanding the story, the quantities, and the relationships presented in each task, students become active doers of math.

The lesson plans cover a variety of topics from Pre-Kindergarten through Calculus. Members have access to all instructional plans, activity sheets, and presentation slides within each lesson. Make sure to check back each month for new lessons!
