Equity at New Hope through Personalized Learning
Teaching and learning at New Hope is a wonderful, challenging experience. We have many goals as a school but promoting access and equity for all students is a top priority. While we have implemented practices to address social-emotional differences and create connections, we must become aware of the practices we use that inhibit equity and create pathways for all students to succeed. With knowledge gained from the annual meeting, I plan to work with my instructional leadership team to create professional development opportunities for staff to understand these needs and practices. The goal is to develop models of personalized learning as one way to address inequity. Additionally, we will pursue new, equitable avenues to include families in our school communities.
