Integrating Math across the K–6 Curriculumis an online teacher resource filled with lesson plans and
activity sheets linked to articles from NCTM’s journals Teaching Children Mathematics and Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School and to sections from our series
of Navigations books. The product provides K–6 teachers with dozens of mathematics
lessons related to topics their students are studying in science (such as
biology, health, technology, and space), social studies (such as history,
civics, and geography), and the arts (such as music, art, and design).
Each article has
one or more accompanying lesson plan (more than 100 lessons in all), and most
include printable activity sheets for classroom use. Articles and lessons are
divided thirteen different topics, from Life Science, to Economics and Personal
Finance, to Painting and Drawing, and more. The lessons include learning
objectives, connections to the Common Core and mathematical practices, and
instructional plans.
