The Mathematics Education Trust (MET) of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is excited to announce the establishment of the new
Lee V. Stiff Fund.
The fund will be used to award an annual
Equity in Mathematics Grant in his honor. The grant will support teachers focused on creating learning experiences that remove barriers for historically marginalized students to engage and achieve in mathematics.
We believe that honoring
Lee V. Stiff's memory by establishing this fund will sustain his legacy and support future generations by continuing his
mission of providing access and equity for each and every learner of mathematics.
The MET has set a goal of raising $100,000 for the new Equity in Mathematics Grant through donations to the Lee V Stiff Fund.
