    Statement

Carrie DeNote is an elementary teacher, formerly known as “not a math person.” After attending a hands-on workshop that challenged her understanding of teaching math, she discovered her aptitude for and enjoyment of math. This revelation led her to become a math coach and earn a second master’s degree in mathematics teaching and leadership from Mount Holyoke College. DeNote is dedicated to making mathematics accessible for all students through excellent professional learning for adults. As a district and state leader, she contributes significantly to the field. With a diverse teaching background in public schools, including roles as a classroom teacher, interventionist, and instructional coach, DeNote remains committed to advancing math education for all.
